What an amazing Space Week! Spruce class have had so much fun exploring the wonders of space this week! The children have been busy learning all about the planets in our Solar System and discovering some fascinating facts about our amazing universe. They have also taken on the exciting challenge of designing and creating a safe landing pod for their Eggnaut, thinking carefully about how they could protect their precious astronaut on landing. Our budding artists have also been busy creating their own planets using paint, collage and a range of different materials. The finished planets have come together to make a fantastic space display that we are very proud of. It has been wonderful to see so much creativity, curiosity and excitement throughout the week. We think we may have some future astronauts and space scientists in the making!

🚀🌙 What a busy week of learning! 🌙🚀 This week, we have been celebrating Space Week and taking our learning beyond Earth! 🌎 🔢 In Maths, we have been counting footsteps on the Moon, exploring numbers and patterns, and creating our own patterns. We have also been putting our fine motor skills to the test! The children carefully picked the kernels from our home-grown sweetcorn 🌽 and removed the beans from their pods. 🫘

🤘🎸🎤 TT Rock Stars Dress-Up Day! 🎤🎸🤘 Our pupils (and staff!) really got into the spirit of TT Rock Stars Dress-Up Day, with some amazing rock star outfits, plenty of attitude and lots of smiles! A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day so much fun. We certainly have some future rock legends among us!

Such a pleasure to take part in the first session of the Rooted Rhythms drumming project, hosted by Alde Valley Academy, organised by the Leiston Education Partnership and led by the wonderful Wooden Roots. It was a fantastic opportunity for our Year 5 and 6 children to come together, make music and experience the energy and joy of group drumming. 🥁 We're looking forward to seeing how the project develops over the coming sessions!

🏰 We had an amazing time at Norwich Castle last week! The children enjoyed learning all about the history of the castle and discovering the different roles people had within it. It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning and exploring! 😊

🌍🇪🇺 The children had an amazing day celebrating European Day of Languages! They enjoyed trying a range of new foods and had lots of fun completing activities based on European flags and maps. A fantastic day of exploring different countries and cultures!
